Went in and was told I had to come back later, which was totally fine! I don’t expect a walk in appointment. I was told to try come back a little before my appointment. When I came back I was on time, not super early.. and was greeted at reception with a smile. After that, my experience wasn’t great. I was served by a woman who didn’t seem to really care about me or her job. She asked me to wait on the bed in the room while she went away, after coming back she just said “Lie down” and went to start waxing my eyebrows.. right away.. no conversation or discussion of what I wanted. Before she started I to think “aren’t we meant to talk about what I want??” I thought I should mention it because I could walk away with botched brows! I said to her “I’m kind of growing them out at the moment so I don’t want them too thin..” she replied with “what?” So I said again “I’ve had them too thin in the past so I’m kind of trying to grow them out.. I don’t want them too thin.” She didn’t say anything and then just started waxing my brows.. Now don’t get me wrong, they aren’t the worst eyebrows I’ve had, but they aren’t exactly what I was hoping for. She took too much off even though I told her I just wanted a tidy up and wasn’t looking to go too thin. I’m not too cut up about it because they look alright and hair will grow back, but it’s kind of unfortunate that they don’t seem to have the same quality of service as other places I’ve been. She acted as though she didn’t want to serve me, and I was out within 5 minutes. It felt very rushed and like no care was taken. Honestly, I would just try somewhere else if you can.

Very professional and welcoming staff! They take their jobs seriously and make the experience as bearable as possible! Result is spotless. Place is perfectly clean. Their fidelity program is also very interesting. Only thing is I wouldn’t recommend for people with blood circulation issues because the wax is very hot and they only use one type.

I came for a drop-in and only had to wait 5 min. They are very busy so I was very happy that they could squeeze me in to the schedule. I had a good experience and I am very happy about the result. The staff are friendly and professional and the salon is clean and proper.

Today was my first experience at Wax in the City. I am from New Zealand and have only been in europe for a month and was due for my regular brazillian treatment. I was a little nervous at first to try a new place as I’m sure you can imagine, however I read a lot of good reviews and was pleased to read on their website that they use wax only (no fabric strips). I’m pleased to say that my experience was more than great! My beauty therapist was gentle, efficient, and it was virtually painless. I would recommend.
