Super lucky I found this place when I was traveling to Budapest! The ambience was lovely, very cozy and classic. To my surprise, it wasn't touristy at all! Full of local people, zero tourist. It was my first time trying Tokaji wine and I loved it!! I ended up buying 3 bottles for me to take home. Great wine at a very affordable price, and very friendly server. Even though he couldn't speak english, he still enthusiastically tried to communicate with me, showing and explaining the tavern's collection. What an experience! I consider it as the highlight of my holiday in Budapest.

A beautiful local pub with an amazing wine selection. No English spoken here but an amazing atmosphere. The people who own the place are nothing short of extraordinary, and will make your stay amazing. Know. Few words of hungarian going in ( wine, glass, white, red) and they will not disappoint.
Cool hidden wine bar near St. Margaret park. Not fancy but authentic Hungarian wine and food. Loved the stuffed potato pancakes! Sit at the community table if there is an open seat.
This place is very cheap (150 HUF for 1dl of wine). Place is not famous so don't expect to find it in some touristic guides. Wine is really tasty. Interior is simply perfect. Place for the locals, so personnel doesn't know English and can give you a different wine than you expected (but still not a big deal). Definitely recommend.
Emma kedvenc helye. The best little wine pub I've ever been to outside of Tokaj. We highly recommend it and it's dog friendly friendly too. The staff are great and the prices are right.
Great environment, cheap and good wine, good snacks. Its a chill place, the public is quite old and pretty much only Hungarians, the staff doesn't have a good English but are nice and helpful

This place has been around for many-many years. The wine is not too good, but OK, the prices are low. Make sure you try the food they offer. The waitresses/owners have a very interesting approach to customers, but don't get offended, they are like that all the time:)
