George our tour guide nice andalways with a smile on his face. He was amazing and so knowledgeable. He started the tour giving us water to keep us hidrates. We had a Unicum Drink: a famous drink from Budapest, kind of a national drink. Because it helps to keep you warm and happy. You can eat it before, during or after eating and we had it at 10 am, right when we started the tour. Then we ate the phenomenal Hungarian bread:Langos. Georges kept on talking and telling us all the stories about the market And the country. Later he took us and gave us a tour where he told us that hungry it’s also a wine country and explained the details about it. We tried Hungarian meat, like ham, salami, and many other sausages. Afterwards he explained to us how in Budapest barely eat fish and the season where they eat it is for the holidays. Before we left the market he brought us some other type of bread that I forgot the name but it was so delicious one with cheese and the other one without. Later, and for my surprise he took us out of the market and we were walking on the streets of Budapest, I was in complete enjoyment of it because I love to explore with someone as amazing as Georges, it was like the best experience ever. He took us to eat chocolate in a delicious a fancy place and then we went and had lunch. Believe me, I ate that day like I have never eaten before. After lunch we kept walking and he took us to the university to museums to many beautiful streets of this gorgeous city. Following, he took us to Centra Cafe and here I was in complete admiration. I had this place in my to go list here at Budapest and I couldn't beleive the the tour will take us here. I had an astounding and creamy capucciono along with the best pastries of this superb place. We end up having a wine taste at the charming and cozy place of Tasting Tables. Here is where our culinary walk ended and it couldn’t be done in a better way.

My wife and I had a two person wine tasting (given to her as a birthday gift) and we had an AMAZING experience! Because of the COVID situation, private tasting are be offered at the group price and so we had the entire place to ourselves. We tasted 5 wines, if I remember correctly, and were each given our own charcuterie plate to complement the wines. We learned so much about the history of wine in Hungary and the different regions. Highly recommend - was a very special experience.

I did three tours/tastings while in Budapest with Taste Hungary, first the Essentials of Hungarian wine tasting that was a great introduction to all that Hungarian wine has to offer, then a 4-hour culinary walk that let me sample many amazing Hungarian foods, and finally I went on a full day tour to the Villany wine region. Each was an amazing experience, and beyond what I could have reasonably done on my own. I learned a ton and was able to fit much more into my vacation than if I had to figure out all the logistics myself. I was very impressed and would highly recommend these guys for tours, tastings, or whatever you're interested in. All of my guides were excellent - personable and helpful and I felt like I got a better sense of the place through our conversations.

Taste Hungary wine tasting - real wine via a virtual connection! Last week, four of us (from 2 U.S. locations) did a private virtual wine tasting of 6 wines from the Balaton and Szekszárd regions with Gábor, and had a fabulous time! The wines were all very interesting and very good, ranging from a light, crisp white to a full-bodied red. Gábor gave us a history lesson on Hungarian wines, as well as describing the geology and terroir of the areas. Information on the unfamiliar (to us) varietals and how they are blended was particularly interesting as we sipped and tasted them in real time. Gábor has a gift for describing and evoking our descriptions of the many layered flavors of the wines. Taste Hungary was efficient in scheduling our Zoom session and in shipping our wines to locations on opposite sides of the country. This is a great way to join with friends and family, particularly in this pandemic, for a delicious, fun and entertaining tasting of wines we otherwise don’t see frequently in the U.S. Thanks to Gábor and Carolyn for helping me arrange a great birthday get-together with my far-away sister!

Taste Hungary is very professional. Very good place to learn about infamous Hungarian wine. I.e how it is made, how it tastes etc. Everyone was very welcoming, including the guests. Great place for conversation. 10/10 place to spend an afternoon or evening.
