You would not expect great sushis in Budapest but Sushi Sei don't disappoint! The fishes are super fresh ! The sashimi were really fresh and tasty. You have plenty choices in the menu. The prices are a bit high for Budapest but I would say fair for this quality of fish. Our waiter was extremely nice and we felt welcomed. Overall, a superb experience.

The place was awesome!!! I love it. The food is delicious and the price is reasonable. The waitresses are able to speak English and we're so polite. The service was great too. Ice is free of charge. And they even gave me a rose after I paid for my food. Awesome!!! Recommended this place!!

Expensive? Yes. Great Sushi? Yes. Real wasabi? Yes. Up-scale Japanese restaurant often packed with Japanese people. Quality of service is high, polite English and no up selling behavior. Best sushi in Budapest by far. It’s located a little outside the center but well worth the trip for a dining experience.

By far the best Japanese restaurant in town. When you have a Japanese chef working in a Japanese restaurant you know you are getting proper food.

One of the best Japanese restaurant experiences I ever had! Staff was amazing and helped us with our choices, even though we arrived around closing time. Food was delicious, service was kind and fast. One could argue it is pricey, but oh it was well worth it! I am definitely coming back!

One of the best Japanese restaurants in town I believe. Need to note, this is a very pricey place, but only a few restaurants at this price range can make me say: \you are paying for the great quality\. You can go to some more affordable sushi places in the city, but the quality of the fish won't be as good as here. Service is nice and friendly, the ambiance of the place is nice and overall a pleasant experience. I had one of the special Bento sets which cost me about 10k HUF, but as you can see on the pictures it was a huge amount of food plus it had the best of everything: Sashimi, Sushi, Miso soup, Karaage chicken and Tempura. I only missed a chance to taste some of the Sake's on the menu, as most appear to be only served as full bottles and no option to try a glass of them. I did like my choice however. And finally, the Matcha cheese cake was a real winner, not just a cheesecake with some matcha powder on top, but integrating the flavor into the cake well. Overall, great place, would come back. The food here is excellent and the service is amazing. You can get a very authentic experience at Sushi Sei without going to Japan. I went on Valentine's day and they even gave my date a white rose complementary when they brought the check. Definitely would go again.
