The statue commemorates the man who dealt one of the most crushing defeats to the Ottomans in the Battle of Zenta from 1697, that eventually saw the provinces of Hungary, Croatia and Transylvania go back to the Habsburgs It's a wonderful statue, both in technique and the choice of location overseeing the Parliament building on the other side of the Danube Needless to say there are plenty of photo opportunities

Statue of Prince Eugene of Savoy, one of the best built infrastructure I have seen in my life. It was mesmerising to look at. Surely it is one of the most beautiful landmark in Budapest and people come from all around the world to see this lovely piece of art. The views of the city from above are also breathtaking.
