Delivery
One of the biggest post offices in Budapest, located in the very centre of the capital near to Nyugati railway station rendering almost all the postal and banking services including exchange of invalid Hungarian notes. The post office is always crowded, long lines and wait before you allowed to reach the window and can communicate with the postal clerk. There is also a small shop to buy necessary items to satisfy postal requirements, also books, toys for children. As there is a significant fluctuation of the poorly paid employees the postal staff is not always professional and not really attentive, they perform at minimally necessary level.

Good, not busy when I went. Helpful staff.
The queue is now outside of the building and an associate handles the waiting line, so service seems to be faster than usual.
Busiest and one of the largest post office in Budapest. They provide better quality services.
Totally unrealiable. They can deliver your things to anyone instead of you, without even asking an ID. Then they dont provide any information about who and why someone else from the building received the item instead of you. Not even an apology Total disrespect and loss of money, The quality of service is bellow 0
A busy post office as it services the entirety of the 6th District but surprisingly well run once you figure the system out. Go upstairs to collect small (under 500g) packages and letters, ground floor is for sending post and the mezzanine on the ground floor is for bill payment. You must print off a ticket using the machines at the entrance to be seen. In a separate building around the corner you can collect large packages. When sending post or collecting small packages you will have to wait 15-45 mins at peak times (4pm onwards) which can be frustrating and the staff have limited English speaking ability so if you're a non Hungarian speaker be patient while they try to help. Go across the road to Papír Bolt for a cheap and big range of normal and padded envelopes.
When they have your parcel, they don’t contact you at all, they just allocate it to a postman, and then if they can’t find you or they don’t see you , they return it to the sender
Take approx. 30 minutes to collect own packages if you visit after 7PM during weekdays. I recommend you to visit Sat morning time. They are not *kind* but not rude and trying to help me in English when I don't get it properly. Glad to open till 8PM on weekday and even on Sat.
