A great place in Balassagyarmat, regardless if you want to have just some ice cream in the hot summer or some cakes, pie, or cookie at any time of the year - Jagyutt is a good solution.

I love the ice cream, esp. the poppy seed flavor. It was actually THE reason to make a stopover in this town. Be prepared for some hassle communicating though since the staff only speaks Magyar.
