The place has been renovated and it looked completely different from the previous year in an expectedly more elegant and graceful way. The sales managers are friendly and professional; they are more than happy to show you around and ask what you are looking for. Tax refund service is available. I have shopped at this place on every trip to Budapest.

The wife and I were excited to purchase our first true fine china dinnerware set while on holiday in Hungary. After receiving some help with identifying two different styles, the staff informed us they could be of no further help. Our salesperson said it would be “a lot of work” to obtain prices to compre the two styles we liked, and that we would be better off just sending an email to the company in order to get prices, and to place an order, if we wished. Additions, we were told the only merchandise available for purchase was limited to what was in display; while this is okay if you want to buy little ornaments, etc., it’s is not helpful if you wish to buy something like a true dinnerware set of plates and bowls. This entire encounter occurred around 14:00 in a weekday (so not closing time), and our encounter lasted perhaps 20min in total. While the customer service left much to be desired, the products themselves were gorgeous.

This is a gorgeous store with a huge selection of high quality and famous Herendi handpainted porcelain dinnerware and figurines. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. When you leave the store go to the centre of Nàdor Tér or square and see the beautiful tree of life made by Herendi porcelain
