It’s a nice place and definitely worth visiting, but plan something else nearby too. There’s a nice view point 15 minutes from the park, an ok confectionary across the street. The park itself is lively, but castles look suspiciously similar sometimes. And for example I didn’t recognize Somoskoi var it would be nice as well to see some familiar castles too Like boldogkoi vár, Egri etc. Apart from that my @superhappyhippo was happy to be there

The idea is not bad at all, but it is not yet finished, and the details are vague at times. The skanzen was half closed, and there was absolutely no catering (all of the 2-3 wooden houses were closed). Overall, not bad, and a mere 35 minutes from budapest.

A great place for kids and maybe the history buffs. Each \vár \ has a picture showing what remains of it a few lines of its history.

Very good place, where you can see lot of miniature castles and other buildings from Hungary.

If you have an hour free time, then stop by. The replicas are really nice and the park is enjoyable for everybody.

Pretty disappointing with all the houses of the Skanzen closed with a big lock. Castles installation interesting but repetitive. Little playground area. Kids over 3 years pay 950 huf which is way too expensive. Adult ticket 1200 huf. Family/groups discounts available

Lovely historical reconstruction of the old castles built arount the Hungarian empire, near lake Velence.

If you have an hour worth a stop. Nothing extraordinary though. The castles are nice.
