I am not satisfied with the Institution itself. I have a really good French teacher there, I really like him, he makes sometimes some mistakes but that is fine, he is like that. The teacher did not send me the link mistakenly to join the zoom meeting - I think it happened because I was not on the original list as a student- I just realized that I did not receive it when I wanted to join the class. I checked my spam, deleted messages, everywhere nothing. I sent e-mails that I would like to have the link, but no answer, so I missed the class. I just asked the Institution, please then refund me the 2 classes since I could not attend and I wanted to but I could not. They were trying to say that it is my fault etc. everybody could join except me etc. , so they can not refund me the money. The way of reasoning is ridiculous and unprofessional. I would have joined the class if I could, I went home just for the class, and it would have been much easier for me to join the class than to send additional e-mails and to have this kind of communication with them. If they state something, then prove it, but they could not that the mistake is from my side. I am attending French classes there only because of the teacher, if he would teach somewhere else, I would definitely go there. He is one of the best language teacher ever.

Great cultural offer for France lovers or curious minds: bookshop, library, cultural events, films, restaurants...
Beautiful building on a scenic spot of Budapest. Home for movie presentations, French language courses and alike. Strengthening the French Hungarian friendship with exhibitions, presentations. The big red glass pieces must be marvellous in daylight.
Nice modern building by the Danube in central Budapest with great french language resources.
Superbly appointed. Great place for large groups to receive presentations. Staff are superb. Very professional organisation.
Great venue for conferences and movies to watch during a film festival. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Great place to start learning French, especially if your native language isn't Hungarian! My teachers taught almost entirely in French, which was great for me as Hungarian is not my first language. I had both Hungarian and French teachers, each with their own unique teaching styles. I started with zero knowledge of French and took classes there for over year, completing the levels up to A2. Depending on your level, the groups can sometimes be a bit too crowded with not enough individual speaking time. It was a good experience to give me the basics of French before taking intensive courses. They host French film nights and other cultural events and also have a nice library. Overall, I'm very happy with my time at the French Institute.
Perfect place to go for every francophile and for everyone missing France. Check the movie program online, it's worth it.
