Beautiful theater! We went to see the ballet of The Swan Lake, it was a magical presentation! The dancers and the orchestra were spotless! The theater staff crew is very polite and willing to help everyone.

Good acoustics, nice interior. A lot newer than I expected. I saw Billy Elliot from the balcony. Good prices. Great production. Be sure you look into the Hungarian Clap before attending so you know what to expect. They don’t do standing ovations but the “Hungarian Clap” should be experienced by every tourist at least once. :)
Great church : outside and inside. The statues and pictures are beautiful. There is a wonderful treasure: the hand of St Stephen... The entrance cost 200Ft (about 1 euro) It's also possible to climb to the top...
Beautiful theater of Budapest. Nowadays the performances are happening there since the Opera is getting renovated. The performance was beautiful and if I have the change I will go again. Logical prices with high cultural value. Worth visiting and enjoying a night there. The view was beautiful and the acoustic was very nice. You could see the orchestra playing and the performance. A unique experience!
I like to go to the opera abroad to get the experience of how people behave differently. In Hungary, I learned, the applause is rhythmic. :-D The theater building is nothing special. Pragmatic with everything you need. Coat check is free
The performance of Die Fledermaus was outstanding. A completely packed house, excellent acoustics, the whole experience was amazing. Why only 4 stars then? I had an excellent seat at the front of the balcony and there is a wall in front of the seat. Nowhere to put my feet and my knees were pressed against the wall making it quite uncomfortable. It was a real shame. Other seats are certainly better although the guy behind me was moving his knees around a lot. It's a shame because apart from the legroom, the whole experience was 5 stars all the way.
Beautiful original Art Deco interior. Great acoustic.
