Really good station that was really well signed and easy to get around, especially on the interchange. The trains were frequent and I had no issue at all with it. Can’t fault it at all!

Very nice station
My personal favourite underground station in Budapest. With the crisscrossing concrete supports it seems like some futuristic science fiction station.
Very convenient travel hub at the heart of Budapest. Make sure you are buying your ticket before entering the trains, otherwise you may be fined! Just be aware of pick pockets and people trying to offer you generous help on those tickets machines, as they are a bit awkward to operate at times. Nothing you can't work out if you are using a phone, but it takes a little bit of time. There are \beggars\ conveniently helping you out at those machines, and at first you think they are just nice, but after you have got your tickets they are asking for money which makes the whole situation really awkward. But apart from that everything is just like a normal underground station, so you should be fine.
Fast transport service and not that crowded. Be sure you have a ticket and stamp it. I got a ticket but didn’t stamp it as I didn’t know how this system worked. Unfortunately, 30 euros I had to pay.
Be very very careful when buying tickets! We bought 2 transfer tickets thinking they were return tickets and used them to go to the Széchenyi thermal baths and back with no problem, when we bought the same tickets two days later upon returning we were stopped by a ticket inspector who demanded we pay an 8,000 forint fine each for having an invalid ticket. When we tried to explain that we didn’t know it wasn’t a return ticket she said we have a big problem and threatened to call the police, eventually we ended up paying the fine in total around 40 just to get her to leave us alone, when paying we had to pay one fine to her and one fine to her colleague so I assume they are on commission for preying on tourists. Just take a taxi, this has ruined our holiday and we definitely won’t be coming back to Budapest.
The meeting point of 1-2-3 metro lines. It's like a main square. There is a big park around. Aquarium a really beautiful coffee place. Many different restaurant around. From Chinese and fast foods to really elegant ones.
Charming but sterile...
