In possession of this knowledge base, PHARMAFLIGHT welcomes all those from every part of Europe, or indeed the world, who would like to acquire flying skills based on scientific results, or who would seek out our Centre just because of the validity of their pilot’s licence. Research is being done into various flying situations, the interplay of technical and human factors, and changes in human efficiency. The results enable Pharma Flight to provide economic players (aeroplane and simulator manufacturers, airlines, aeromedical centres) with services which will contribute to an increase in aviation safety. PHARMAFLIGHT is one of the few scientific centres where besides or alongside simulator training, the medical effects of flying are also investigated, primarily in the area of civil aviation. PHARMAFLIGHT aspires to provide an ever broader range of pilot training, i.e. that opportunities for applicants should extend from the training of beginners to the acquisition of type ratings. Our medical team and equipment of the Pharma Flight Aeromedical Centre are perfectly competent to assess the medical condition of existing flight crew and pilots to be, and furthermore, if necessary, we can prescribe what needs to be done to acquire fitness.
