It is hard to write a review about a place where I keep going back for 15 years now. Absolutely a signature spot in Balatonfured - the best place for incredible cakes and other sweet creations with a great location, by the water, offering breakfast from 9am. Their lovely, sunny terrace is turned into a cosy winter patio with heaters and blankets for the chilly season and during summer there are evenings with live music, too. The quality and the portions of the in-house made goodies based on traditional recipes are out of this world and no matter when I go back over the years I know surely I get the same taste and service. Their cake menu is so extensive, I still haven't tried all of them as I always want to have my favorites, too. I would definitely work on their wine menu and barista skills but as long as they have such amazing incredible fantastic desserts, I don't really care about the drinks:) Can't wait to go back again!

Best desserts in Hungary. They are definitely \home-style\. So while they may not look very pretty, the taste is unmatched. Also they are not too sweet. You can have 2 full servings and still not feel ill. The apple pie with vanilla ice cream is wonderful (get 2 scoops of ice cream). It is probably twice as big as at other confectioneries. I also tried the caramel bomb with raspberries. It was unbelievably good and not overly sugary.
The reviews have to be fake or people's taste has really deteriorated. This place used to be high quality with great service. Something has changed. New ownership? New management? On a weekday afternoon, with very few guests, staff ignored us for 20 minutes before even greeting us and taking an order. The cakes were dry, too sweet and somehow all tasted the same. Coffee was decent. Don't trust the 2k reviews because the place is not even close to being 2 stars. In summary, overpriced for mediocre items with very poor service.
The BEST cakes of Hungary! As simple as this. Maybe not the most beautiful, maybe not the most 'Instagram' material, but they are all simply delicious! I have eaten in dozens of Hungarian cukrászda during my year here, and this one is definitely my favorite and by far. It's just perfect! The most difficult part is : which cake will I choose ;) I tried 6 or 7 cakes there, walnut, sour cherry, lemon, peach, túró, walnut again, apricot... Each one of them was perfect! It's a must try!
It's a great place with delicious cakes and breakfast. We went back every day after the first try, and the staff were every time very nice and helpful. They had a party in the night with live music which we also enjoyed very much and definitely going to return!
This is a fantastic place to stop while out for a stroll on the promenade in Balatonfüred. The service is spot on with comfortable seating inside and out. Treat yourself to the cheese plate or the ham plate for a warm up but be sure to save room for dessert and coffee.
Very good food and nice place. One star less as we have to wait more than 20 minutes for the bill while was no rush hours.
Best coffee shop experience in Balatonfured. Long tradition of homemade cakes and pastry, all delicious. A must stop if around. 5 stars if they could offer a few vegan options.
