Traditional hungarian sweet called \kurtos kalacs\ (chimney cake), with an extra twist. About 5 euro a piece, large variety. Also flamingos :D

I’ve been getting their amazing food at numerous festivals. They’re definitely my go to place and their prices are very reasonable too, especially for the taste. Definitely would recommend! Going to try to visit their store as well.

We got what looked like a store-bought cake, wrapped in plastic. Tasted at least a day old. Very disappointing experience.

Hidden Gem for coffee and hand made Hungarian Kürtöskalács Chimney Cake cooked over charcoal. Oh, did i mention the small army of FLAMINGOSsss to view from your seat while enjoying your treats, with no need to pay and enter the zoo. Not the best picture i took, but they were very active, fighting, flapping their wings and marching now and then :p Not sure why they don't advertise the cool Flamingos in the pictures, they might not always be on show i guess, so not to disappoint.

Good idea. But it is a little bit expensive.

For a very long time I wanted to try this place, after having seen it recommend on magazines. However, since it is located in the park between Széchenyi gyógyfürdő and the zoo, not necessarily in a walking area, I never got a chance. Until last Sunday. Staff was really polite and helpful. The menu is hanging in front, so you can easily choose, know the price and also see the product in a picture (much appreciated). In the end, I ended up getting the offer of the day, which the lady at the counter further explained: pieces of kurtoskalacs in a cup, with custard cream, poppy seeds and raisins. 2 cups for the price of 1! To take away there was a charge of 50 HUF per cup on top (total 900 HUF), and the cups are made from plants. The so called kurtos guba were very yummy and I could not be happier with the choice and the experience. Will be back and definitely recommend.
