You must certainly visit this building when you come to Budpaest. It is astonishing, and the architecture is beautiful! Taking the guided tour is a must, since you need to hear about the background and inspirations behind the design elements. I have actually gone twice, since it was very mesmerizing the first time. You don’t even need to be into opera, or architecture, to enjoy this tour. This building is a gem, and everyone can appreciate the beauties of its design.

A beatiful concert hall in an impressive old building in the heart of Budapst. The wall tiles are made by famos Zsolnay. You can visit it as there are guided tours. Or you can buy a ticket to a concert and spending a lovely evening in one of the most beautiful concert halls in Europe.

Fond of classical music? A concert at Zeneakadémia (Liszt Academy) is a must! Impressive building, recently (2013) refurbished in its original secession-stlye state. We visited the Academy at the Mozart-day in 2019. Even if you do not have time for a concert, it is worth to visit the building. They held guided tours in Friday and Sunday (as of March 2019), followed by a little concert.

Beautiful interior that's been recently renovated. Did the 1:30pm English language tour. Had an impromptu recital from one of the students and then saw the main concert hall. The content felt a bit light for the ticket price, but they did a great job with the restoration.

One of the most beautiful buildings in Budapest. The contract hall is amazing.

Went there to see one concert of the "Mozart Day" festival. (In Hungarian it's called "Mozart Nap," which just made me chuckle.) It's worth it to go see the building, but the best way to experience this place is to see a performance. Wonderful acoustics, and ultimately a feast for the eyes and the ears.
