The museum has a great permanent exhibition about the first world war. It is a very vivid and living exhibition full of decoration, black and white movies, quote etc... The staff is also quite nice with visitors. The only improvement that could be done is that there is a lack of explanations to put things in perspective and understand better what happened. It would worth having more descriptions during the visit and/or a proper audio guide otherwise you see nice pictures and items but you dont really know exactly what is happening except if you have already historical knowledge

My husband and I went here yesterday. I was very impressed by the direct presentations of World War 1 in Hungary. We learned a lot. Also, the museum has everything in both Hungarian and English , so it was very easy for us to read and listen to the films.
It's unfortunate that this musuem is very hard to find on the Internet at least for tourists.. It's really great, for very reasonable price (about 4000HUF per person) you'll get a complex tour through Hungarian history in ENGLISH (!). I think you're not allowed to take pictures there but we did anyway and nobody stopped us so you might try too. It's really breathtaking, I'm not lying at all to you. There are realistic entrenchment inside, very good music background different for every room and floor... We found this museum just by chance and stepped in only for a few minutes but stayed for almost 3 hours (we had to go elsewhere, if not we would love to stay a lot longer in there) - it was totally worth it, we reccomend.
