The National Association of Voluntary Funds (Pénztárszövetség, ÖPOSZ), which is the most important fund advocacy group in Hungary, has the primary task of representing the member funds’ joint professional interests. The Association focuses on coordinating the representation of professional organizations engaging in the establishment and operation of legal institutions in Hungary designed to enhance the financial security of the elderly and to supplement social security benefits in the field of healthcare. Today, the members of the Association manage more than 93 percent of the savings of voluntary pension fund members in Hungary and manage nearly 80 percent of the assets of health fund members. Our primary task to coordinate the representation of the professional organizations involved in the development and operation of domestic legal institutions dedicated to promote healthy lifestyles and enhance financial security in old age. At the same time, as far as the organizational and operational methods are concerned, the Association also regards it as its task to promote the development of the fund market and represent the interests of the Association and its members during the development of the relevant legal and other regulations. It also aims to consolidate in the long term all health and pension funds, thereby providing the most efficient representation of the sector as a whole.
