Greetings, we loved this hotel when we came there back in 18th July 2017 at 22:00 o'clock that day, we enjoyed our stay there and I have been impressed what even a cheaper option of a hotel can offer you in Hungary, I also appreciated the staff for their kindness and effectiveness in doing the job. Thank you so much for this nice experience during my stay in Budapest dear Budapest Opera Guesthouse Ps. The only thing that stressed was that I was on the go and couldn't enjoy the hotel nor the small talk with local people, as my mother had originally planned this for sightseeing not for staying in the hotel nor for the small talk with hotel staff, so I couldn't have gotten hold of the full enjoyment of this hotel as an explanation from me to explain the reason why I didn't rate this hotel with five stars.

Not a great experience. The walls are very thin, we could hear people snoring 2 rooms away. Booked online and it was 40% more expensive than just going in. Super tiny rooms with bunk beds. The area was really great and convenient though. You can find better hotels in better areas
Big star for localisation, another one for price and another for nice staff, but it could do better with deeper cleaning and some nice smelling fabric softener for towels bed clothes.
The staff is very helpful, but for that money the conditions are poor. Almost everything seem to be dirty, not to mention stinky bathroom, where the water in the shower would barely flow down. I was expecting something better after seeing the pictures of it.
We went in a group of 4 and stayed there for 2 nights. The rooms were warm and clean and the bathroom was enough equipped to be used. The hotel director was very helpful. The place offers value for money.
Clean and warm rooms, the management is very responsive and kind. The room is not to big but has everything you need for a short term visit. The location it is close to every public transport and lot of significant sights in the city centre.
Not as clean as expected. Toilets and bathrooms were not well maintained and small too. Budget rooms but I would not recommend
While the website says there is reception from 1400-1900 there is not. After getting off a 10hr flight, arriving in Budapest at approx 1300, we finally got to hour hotel at 1430. There is a small sign that says to dial a number to be let it. We dialed the same number, standing outside exhausted, for over 30 minutes. Someone who happened to live in the same building saw us and let us in. The small hall way clearly hasn't been washed or maintained since it was built, broken and smashed tiles, dust, bugs, and mice every where, and about as littered as you could imagine. Supposedly reception is on the first floor so we carried our luggage up the the reception desk. At this point (1500) there was no one at the small reception door, the door was closed with a sign that said opened. We knocked on the door, no one answered. Attempted download an app that they use for communication but being that we dont have service in Hungary, it didnt help. Hoping someone would eventually show, we waited until well after 1600, and no one. So much for reception service 1400-1900. NEARLY 2 HOURS AN NO ONE. Finally had to find a new hotel, hoping someone had something available for same day booking for 4 nights. After emailed the buisness for a solution, all I was told was that someone was there from 1400- 1900 and it's possible they stepped away for 10 minutes. UNLESS YOU WANT TO RISK FINDING A NEW HOTEL SAME DAY, STAY AWAY, or share a room with bugs and mice. Absolutely awful.
