A very big market! Meats, fish, bread and pastries, of course cheese, fruit and vegetables, but also homeware. You can get hot food and also coffee is some stalls. The sellers may be a bit impatient.

Outdoor market for the local area. Most areas are undercover and many of the stalls are small kiosk style buildings although there are a few areas where sellers place there goods onto trestle tables in a large open area. Bakers, butchers, fishmongers, greengrocers, general household groceries, delicatessens with cut meats and cheeses, cake shops, \savanyúság\/pickles etc, clothing etc etc. Definitely NOT a touristy place. This is where the locals buy their goods when they don't want to/can't afford to shop at Spar, Tesco, ALDI etc. If you want to get more of a flavour of how locals live and shop, this is the type of market to visit. No souvenirs, no touts, no trendy cafés. There are lots of this style of market sprinkled around Budapest and they are colourful interesting places to visit. This one has free parking adjacent to it which is usually very busy but is also served by buses and trams. Remember these are locals though and very few will speak English, or other languages. Remember also that this is definitely not a tourist precinct and if you are taking photos as I was, the stallholders etc may object or ask why you are taking photos as this is very unusual. You may also find Security personnel tapping you on the shoulder and asking you what you are doing. Photography etc is generally not allowed. Be discreet!

A classic market where you can buy produce, groceries, fish, meat, pickles for low price. Go there in the weekend and try those booths where the line is longer, the locals know which seller is good. The place itself is not so nice, I would say it is dirty, and be aware of pickpockets.

It is an OK market. You get everything you expect. Not very nice or fancy, but it works.
