The Internationl Police Training Insitute (PTI) in a not-for-profit, public interest foundation registered in Budapest, Hungary and co-located at the historic International Training Center (ITC) alongside the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA). The IPTI concept evolved following the needs identified by FBI National Academy Associates international graduates around the globe for access to executive dev elopement support and training for emerging leaders. The IPTI is the first international Non-Governmental Organization convened by senior police executives to support police leaders around the globe in their quest for training and organizational development that has been authorized by the FBI National Academy Associates. The IPTI is comprised of a group of prestigious police leaders, and supported by the Board of Managing Directors drawn from law enforcement around the globe and business and social service specialists, to ensure that program design and delivery is holistic and engaging of community stakeholders and best practices from the business sector, not solely police focused. The IPTI mandate is to not only provide training and support, but to also assist agencies without available funding to access grant opportunities. The IPTI was convened as a not-for-profit, public interest foundation in Hungary, with transparency and financial oversight in mind, so that grant issuing agencies are assured of compliance with grant conditions.
