This place deserve more than 5 stars! Always nice and welcoming waiters, amazing music choice, really good cocktails (you do feel that there is the alcohol in it). And all of that for reasonable prices. Place is highly recommend!

There are much better places in Budapest for good jazz. Your money is better spent at somewhere other than If Jazz Cafe. Came with a large group of friends to enjoy their company as well as some live jazz Unfortunately, this plan was deterred by one employee (he must have had the largest stick up his...) who kept *shushing* us while the music was playing. Mind you, the music was unbearably loud, and we were sitting upstairs, the only people up there as well. If they didn't want people talking, they should take away the tables and chairs, set up an auditorium, and probably not serve booze! As if this wasn't enough, the service was very slow- they came up more times to quiet us than they did check on our drinks/see if we needed anything.

Interesting place....ordered 2 vodka & oranges and 2 beers worked the bill out to be around 3500 forints without orange juice....Total bill was 6800 forint when i questioned the owner he said its the price of orange juice it drives him mad and he had not charged us for admission?? Shame as I always tip good service anyway..left feeling a little ripped off.
