Very well organized and easy to get around
Was here some years ago. Very atmospheric, oldy worldy station, real nice building.was a bit dirty but didnt bother me.particularly liked the timber pillars and ceiling in ticket office area. Dont know if this is still the case but when u use the Metro in Budapest,i bought a ticket but didnt know that u had to validate it by having it punched with holes,i got caught without knowing this and got shaken down for a hefty cash in spot fine!
This is one of the prettiest train stations I've ever seen It's a bit dusty and you have some lowlifes hanging about but it manages to provide a good experience to travellers
I was going to catch a train for Miskolc but I noticed there is very old built and busy all times. And also that’s dirty and not hygiene.
Beautiful and iconic train station. I love the design, and while in there, I felt like I’m not in a train station. Once you go out from the main entrance, you will able to see the wonderful (first) view of Budapest of you come to the city from somewhere else. You can take a bus once you are outside and if you are famished from your long trip, there are Burger King and McDonald’s outside the a station (well, if it’s me, that’s better to feel up my belly before proceeding to somewhere else to start your journey). The only problem I have was I couldn’t find any sign which lead me to the metro station. It took me some time, until I managed to go underground and found it.
Nice station with all the facilities and trains available for intercity and intracity travel.
High quality busy train station, with very easy connection to the all parts of the city , the underground metro is very handy
