Previously I been to AUGUSZT PASTRY shop which is located ‘Kossuth Lajos utca’ & I have great experience. This place have its own charm & it's very pleasant experience. outdoor seating was great. Its have large varieties of pastries & coffee. above all they have really helpful server. the server with the pink lips, i will never forget. (no offence)

Supposed to be a nice experience, but when the server rolls her eyes at you for asking for a knife..... pathetic service. When the city is void of tourists and these businesses should be happy to get ANYONE, this is what you get.

Amazing place for naughty&tasty sweets! They bake everything in a traditional way from scratch which means every piece of cake taste amazing. If you are on a holiday in Budapest don't miss this experience. My favourite is the chestnut puree and the moszkauer ! Be careful can cause addiction :-)

If you want to experience a truly classic Hungarian cafe in a picturesque location, then check out Auguszt. We come here regularly with my gf and my family, and always enjoy the experience. I'm not saying the place is perfect - the interior could use some renovation, and in the past I've sometimes noticed that the bottom of my glass is not exactly squeaky clean - BUT they get 5* from me because they are great at what really matters: tasty cakes and pastries and very friendly staff. They also have a sandpit and toys for kids (during warmer months of course). The pic is from this summer when we celebrated my sis's birthday here.

A leap to the past, this place is small and the staff is friendly. Good coffee, cakes and cookies, all about tradition. They have WiFi but you don't want to use it. You sit here 25 minutes having a coffee and chitchatting with a friend then continue the rush of life. Price is above average, you can pay with card and cash, and there are courses available to learn to make one of their famous cakes () that you will take home and share with family or friends. Because of the remote location it is more for the locals, not exactly for the tourists.
