It's free on Sunday A bit out of the city, I had to change there buses to get here It's definitely worth visiting for anyone interested in history and archaeology As the other branches of the history museum the curation is both incoherent and insufficient, but a lot has to be said about this museum that they have close to everything translated to English There are very many information slides, honestly you could easily spend the whole day here, depending on interest. I stayed for there hours and I just snapped most of the stuff and moved on

If you are in the area and have any interest about ancient Rome and their way of life, this settlement is the place to go. Very nice staff and self-tour. Give yourself some time to dive in and read the plaques about everything there. I spent about 6 hours and loved every minute. Bus is best way to get there.

Aquincum is an amazing open air site. It is the market town that once accompanied the local Roman legion. Of particular note is the temple of Mithras. Aquincum also has a small, but fascinating indoor museum. Well worth a visit.

We really enjoyed this little Roman museum just north of downtown Budapest. There are a lot of outdoor ruins to walk through in addition to a reconstructed Roman house and a number of other artifacts to see around the property. There's a well-done indoor museum, too, that features a good deal of archaeological finds from the Roman town and from others who have lived in the area.

The museum has an extension and beautiful new indoor section.

Nice ruins of old roman settlement, the whole site is very big and they have a lot of different relics. Also there are to reconstructed buildings, typical Roman house and place of worship.

Admittedly it was great. I thought there would be more ruins of the Roman aquaducts (which are not in the museum but part of the median in between the roads outside of the museum) but we ended up seeing a lot more of a traditional Roman Empire dwelling and a traditional small community. It was very educational. 1900 fornits an adult ticket with a ticket to the Buda castle museum apparently. A lot of exhibits are outside but were in 100% scale to real life. Lots of local limestone historical pieces.
