Anonymus Étterem is located near the Vajdahunyad Castle and it's named so because of the Anonymous' Statue in the castle grounds. Generally I avoid restaurants near the tourist attractions but we were hungry and went here. And we were not disappointed!! LOCATION - 4/5 AMBIANCE- 5/5 SERVICE- 5/5 FOOD - 5/5 COMFORT- 3/5 The main course we ordered was so aesthetic and equally delicious!! The Goulash Soup was good enough. Although the highlight of the meal was their dessert made out of egg yolk! We assumed it would smell of egg but my home chef of a husband was smart enough to know the opposite was true! And the lady (maybe the owner) explained to us how it's made and we tried it! It was heavenly and unlike any other European dessert we have had before. Unique experience. I suggest you to go to this place for a warm lunch. The servers are so welcoming. Good place for groups too and for families with kids. We went there without reservation of course and the places began to fill in soon. So maybe reservation is advisable.

Nice little restaurant close to the museum / castle in the park. Seat by lake and watch the ducks going while you drink your coffee and have your Hungarian desert cake. Their main is good too. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and calmly paced.

I had a very different experience than a lot of other people writing reviews here. Super nice staff, on point. I sat down and within minutes someone was at my table. The place was pretty busy but i got noticed. The food was great and so was the wine, i really thought the staff was really good with everything. The restaurant is in a beautiful location is like having lunch back in the medieval times.

Only positive is the setting , lovely looking restaurant but all downhill after that. Firstly the initial service was slow , then when the 1st two meals arrived (there were 4 of us ) , they were cold and had to be sent back ,after about 10 minutes they returned mildly warmer but not by much , after another 10 minutes the other 2 meals arrived (by this time our partners had finished theirs, ).. these were the wrong food, and when we questioned the waiter he just replied that they'd run out of our choice .. they did knock off the 12% service charge but overall the food was poor and the waiter was hopeless, wandering around without a clue , we weren't the only ones to complain . Wouldn't recommend..

Went there yesterday afternoon after a bath. It wasnt full, but we did wait for an hour for the food (which was a lasagna). After that patience ran almost out, so I had to ask politely with a still smiling face if our food is coming. And I got a reply of 'sorry, what did we order?' Well so much for my patience and they finally checked on the kitchen and said they will serve it in 5 minutes. Looks like the waiter who took our order forgot that we did order food. We were sitting for an hour with just lemonades, we werent even drinking them anymore. Food came, was okay. They didn't even drop us any sort of compensation, or an apology from the waiter who took our order and never delivered. It was another waiter who had the courage ro face us and deliver the food! The place might be looking nice and cozy, but unbelievable how this happened on a not so crowded time, with staff who arent super busy either.

We had a beautiful lunch here after visiting the Széchenyi baths. We sat outside and our waiter was spot on. Great wine selection. We shared the cheese plate as an appetizer and it was very generous. I had the chicken paprikash lasagna which was SO good. My husband had a hamburger which was tasty but he found it difficult to eat due to the dense bun. I would come back here again if I could!

Friendly staff, not overpriced and a good goulash. The beer is cold and good. Location is great, near the castle. Overall, great place to eat in peace and quiet.
