If you have a fear of heights, you might not want to attempt climbing the seemingly never-ending string of narrow stairs, but the view will most likely compensate. If you don't, this is a must see.

Entry fee for adult is 500 HUF. I'm sure you can get nice views from up there, but already from the hill and the park with church, Calvary and water tower you can enjoy a wonderful landscape (without being able to see the lake). You can stroll around for free.
Good view on town , ticket for enter is 500 forint.
In medieval times shrapnel was made in the tower. The hot material was dropped from great height, forming a near-perfect globule by the time it reached the pool of water at the bottom. The cooled-off pellets were then collected for later use.
A wonderful view for less than an euro.
Beautiful sight ower Tata. An old historic place with a lot of praying, Calwary station belonging to catholic 14-station of the suffering of Christ.
