Nice place for a couple of hours walk. Good for kids. Situated in a national park the hiking path can be approached in two ways. I would recommend going up hill on the blue stripe sign, along the gorge and coming downhill via the blue triangle path which goes along the top of the hill. There are few spots with benches where one can have a rest and I saw even some fire places. However, being a national park I don’t think it’s legally allowed to start fires. In two or three places you have to cross the river so goretex shoes are recommended. Expect mud during winter and spring months.

Beautiful hike for families. Some areas are a bit narrow and high though, pretty much all bridges on the trail have been removed (apparently a few years ago already) which can make the hike a bit complicated for young and old, especially when the terrain is wet and muddy. There’s a huge parking lot as well as many rest areas through the trail. Can get pretty busy, early January and families and hikers crammed into the trail which caused loads of traffic.

Great hiking spot. There is plenty of parking, so you don’t need to worry about that. There are also several picnic tables and places to have camp fires near the parking lot. The trail system is very good also. One trail follows the ridge of the hills and one follows the stream. There are many other unmarked side trials that you could spend hours on.

Nice place to visit, but the infrastucture is lacking (i seen a message that the bridges on the gorge have been out and waiting for rebuilding, but that message was up for two years at least. :( ) Otherwise it is beautiful, and although we went when it was nearly dry everywhere even our 6 years old was able to navigate the road alone without trouble. I think if there is more water or even if it had only a recent heavy rain, then it would be close to non-walkable. :( It is a bad feeling for sure to see something so beautiful being so neglected...

Very good hiking area, but the parking lot gets full fast. Some of the bridges had to be dismantled due to bad condition.

This is a beautiful little hiking area, with the Dera creek flowing in the middle of the gorge. Easy terrain, walkable with kids too. There are bridges across the creek, but sometimes you'll have to cross by stepping across rocks. So it might not be the best for elderly people. The place is really nice, refreshing in the hot weather. There are plenty of picnic places along the way to make a camp fire too. The village is also close, the trail takes you right in.
