It was our last day in Budapest so we kinda just strolled around in the morning and came upon this pop-up (I guess) pork festival thingy going on here. They've live band, quite a handful of stalls albeit the similar ones (because it's a pork festival, duh). Quite a nice place to stumble upon, they are selling sausages, fried pork skin crackers, cooked food, tea, coffee, beer, churros, chimney cones, souvenirs and leather goods. The things here are a bit pricier than those shops along.

This city has been through so much and what makes it beautiful today is how hard they have focused on overcoming double occupation and communism. This park is quiet and the memorial is thoughtful. A statue of Ronald Regan is nearby. As is a farce of a monument dedicated to Hungary’s “innocence” in WWII.

A beautiful place to visit for a quick trip, strategically placed in front of the US embassy. Soviets did in a way liberate this city but unfortunately brought communism which hurt the Hungarian people. The battle in Budapest was extremely destructive to the city and this memorial gives you a place to reflect on this && pay your respects to the civilians caught up in the action.

Pretty tower-like monument within a decent garden in the memory of World War II heroes. Commemorates the Soviet era and it's locations is always of a question. Nevertheless, one of the most visited spots in Budapest since it is in the vicinity to the parliament.
