Has really authentic taste and ingredients. Food is delicious and it’s made with a lot of care. Anything you’ll order will be great, really can’t go wrong.

This was my third time here and everything was excellent. The food is good, nothing special but reminds me of granny's cooking. The service was great and we would definitely recommend Frici Papa.

Great food, lovely place and fantastic customer service. Highly recommended if you want to taste original Hungarian food. Prices are very reasonable and portions big enough. Most importantly, taste is just absolutely fantastic. I will be definitely coming back! Thanks Frici Papa

Food made our tummies feel very uncomfortable after. Got the beef goulash (salty), which tasted fine at the time. The spinach soup was super gelatinous. Like walking in a swamp, for lack of a better analogy. The flavors were flat too. Pretty sure there is also a lot of dairy, so if you are lactose intolerant, pass on it. And pass on the bread. Super dry and crusty.

Only cash, the food was cheap but of average quality. Portions were big enough to get fed. Nice atmosphere and friendly service :)

Amazing food if you want to try local Hungarian cuisine. Quite reasonable price too. Will definitely recommend the beef gulash.

If you want to eat actual traditional Hungarian food, this is the place for you! The food is amazing, simple and cheap. It's not a fancy place, but hungarian food shouldn't be fancy anyway. It's cash only!

Had lunch here twice when I visited Budapest with my friend 12-25/3. It’s a small place , traditional with locals and fast - polite service. The plates are big and definitely filling at a very decent price for the center of Budapest. We had chicken paprikash, beef goulash, mushroom goulash and a schnitzel all with sides of noodles which were delicious. They don’t accept credit cards but they tell you that once you walk in the restaurant so you know. Beers were also really nice and reasonably priced !
