I rent a car form Budget Prague in on Aug. and returned on at Budapest. Everything is ok, but the person in Budapest didn't check the car even I required him to do it. After one and half month I knew this is the beginning of their trick. They charged me refuel fee 60 Euro after 13 days, and ignore my refuel ticket just 5 min before return the car. Even worse, they charged me 800 euro after one and half month for “damage” I have not made to the car. And they provide ticket with forged signature, photo token at different time and place…to scam your money. Keep away for this shameless fraud company for life time. All car rental company have very low evaluation at this place most for unclear “damage” found and charged long after of return of the car. Why drivers here made more damage to the car than any other places?

I can not reach anyone on the phone number that was even circled on my contract to call. I really have to drive 2 hours to get this resolved in person? No customer service. I can not vote 0 star. So I gave 1
AVOID BUDGET / AVIS! Reserved a car here months before I arrived. Upon arrival the desired car wasn't available. Needed a car so accepted a different size. Few days after returning the car I was charged with a huge amount! Contacted them - they came back stating that I did get the booked car and the fees wee all included in the contract. Lucky I took a video to prove that I had a different car. Fees might have been included on a piece of paper but I wasn't informed or aware....NEVER AGAIN! POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY BAD ATTITUDE FOR SUCH A BIG BUSINESS
DO NOT EVER USE THEM! they're not picking up their bloody phone, EVER, their main customer line is pretty much useless and they rip you off wherever they can! absolute rubbish branch and company!
Friendly Service. Only compliant is that it's a long walk to pick up the car. They didn't try to stick me with any damage and I was charged what they said I would be charged. I will use Budget for my next trip to Hungary
Reference number: 2019103***** I was not happy with the service provided from Budget. Concerns faced : 1. Vehicle : I have booked the reservation for 5 seater SUV with manual transmission. But at the reception, I was provided with SUV of automatic transmission. Upon the discussion with the team, I was provided with 7-seater diesel vehicle. I have agreed for it because I had no option to proceed. 2. Condition of Vehicle : Vehicle was not in proper condition to drive in terrains. Vehicle was not stopping when parked on uphill with handbrake and 1gear on. This indicates bad condition of the vehicle. 3. Cost : A lot of hidden charges and these are expected but too high. Additional driver, full insurance and border fee. These charges summed for about 150 EURs for 3 days.
