The Buda Castle Funicular is definitely one of the must try attractions in the city. The ride is short and smooth. Takes you up towards the Buda Castle in just around a minute. Tickets are up for grab at the counter below. The views from up above are spectacular. Lovely city views all around

The funicular to go to the Buda Castle is a must do!!! First, you don't have to walk up, second, the view from the cars is really nice, and there was/is a discounted price. It is also very nice that you can walk down by the stairs on the side and stop on the middle and take pictures.

FANTASTIC & FUN\ The ques might be a little off putting, But if you stick with it you will soon be enjoying the short ride to the top in a beautiful old school cart. The view's from the top are stunning. Only buy a one way ticket though, because it's a lovely walk back down the steps on the other side
It's a very short ride up the funicular, but a great view of the city nonetheless. I suggest getting the very first cabin that faces the river, you'll get the best views from this vantage point.
Great way to get to the top, you will be approached by the bus tours whilst in the queue however the buses don't get to the same place and it's longer and not as much 'fun'! Ride is quite quick so anyone concerned about the 'ride' need not be. Views from the top are magnificent and a must see for any visit to Budapest.
A fun way going up or down this UNESCO site. We took the return tickets and the view of Szechenyi Chain Bridge and the city from the first cart of the funicular is simply breathtaking. Too bad it's only a 2 minutes ride. Highly recommended
